Jewellery Care

Jewellery Care

To avoid damage and to ensure long-lasting enjoyment from your jewellery, please follow the instructions below:

Wipe your pearls with a soft, lint-free cloth as soon as you take them off. The cloth can be dampened with water or it can be dry. If damp, allow the pearls to air dry before putting them away. Never clean your pearls with solutions that contain ammonia or harsh detergents.

Don’t use abrasive cleaners or rub pearls with abrasive cloth.

Polishing is normally not needed but the pewter and silver can be polished with a dry polishing cloth.

Cleaning Sterling Silver will help keep its shine. The best way to clean silver is to wipe it with a silver polishing cloth. These can be purchased from any jewellery store.

Avoid jewellery cleaning liquids.

Just like all other precious metals, surface scratches can appear. You can take your silver jewellery to a reputable jewellery store to have it polished and the fine scratches removed.

Stainless Steel and Plated Jewellery

Stainless steel jewellery keeps its shine and should be wiped down with a soft dry cloth.

No cleaning liquids or silver cleaning cloths should be used on yellow gold, rose gold and rhodium plated jewellery. Use a soft dry cloth only.
